Sex, Violence, and Money
by Agatha Christie
Now that we have your undivided attention, we want to explain carefully about ECPHORIZER issue dates. After falling behind schedule in 1984, we kept hoping we'd catch up; but when we found ourselves publishing the May 1986 issue (#57) in August, we finally threw in the towel. So we dated the next issue (#58) September, to match its actual month of publication. At the same time, we advanced everybody's subscription three months. So please stop writing us about "missing issues" — the issues of June, July, and August 1986 (like the missing troika in the Bible's Old Testament of Pandora, Bozo, and Boswell) never existed. Thank you. [1986]
This Issue
Andy Fish (our mascot) is in the swim of things again, along with utterly ridiculous stuff from Paul Palko, Dale Adams and Editor George Towner. More in the mainstream of things are contributions from Reza Hakimzadeh, Dale Adams, Ed Rehmus and one romulus Shasra. Brian Coyne, Michael Stern, and Christian Morgenstern (roughly translated by Gareth Penn) provide some interesting verse, and Susan Packie and Agatha Christie round things out with a couple of preposterous stories.
