This Issue
With this issue we come to the close of the "Towner Canon": the first 70 issues of
The Ecphorizer. Despite his multi-month absences, his spirit continued to guide the relief editors and
The Ecphorizer flourished. This too shall pass as George struggled with the last few issues and the competing demands of a family, a pressure-cooker job, and other responsibilities.Â
However, all is not at an end! Among George, John Cumming, and current online Editor Tod Wicks we have managed to unearth Issues #71 - 82 (with Mike Eager editing), and Issues #83 - 92 (Rod Baker editing). Issue #92 had a cover date of January 1995 and is the last issue to be printed. Accordingly we will be scanning and uploading the remaining 22 issues over the next year or so.

We have dueling computer artificial intelligence articles this month from Grand Poobah Editor (Ret.) George Towner and Bruce Rowe. Charles Walton, Ed Rehmus and Jim Holaday provide some noggin-scratching articles, and the quartet of KVK Schroeder, Paul Healy, Neal Wilgus and Bill Harris provide some much-needed lighter reading, with Cory Brown, Sheryl Nelms and Neil Renton following up with some verse.
