In last month's issue we inadvertently ran a piece that had appeared a few months ago in one of the Mensa local newsletters. While we have no absolute policy against printing previously published work, we always try to credit the earlier source. To do this, we depend on our authors to tell us if their contribution has appeared before. In this particular case the writer simply sent us a duplicate of his original manuscript, not realizing that our printing it without attribution might make it appear that we had lifted it from the other magazine. Apologies have been made all around. So keep the stuff coming, Authors, but just let us know whenever what you're sending is not a virgin.

Dear Editor: I was in the middle of a big project when the (March) ECPHORIZER arrived. I admired the cover, them glanced down the index to see what was in this issue, intending to set it aside until I had time to read it. I saw "Strine" listed under Features, and thought, "No, it really can't be Strine. No one in the US even knows what Strine is." So I turned to page 5, and there, before my eyes, was Strine! Tell Dyvid Durst that while he thinks that God only knows where one could find the book (Let's Talk Strine) outside of Striya, I know where to find one too. I have it. I lent it to one of my friends once, and she returned it saying that no one in her family could understand a word of it... I am a transplanted Striyan, and I want to know why he left out my home town, Brisben, when he recommended that people go beyond Sinny to get the full impact of Strine? We natives of Sony Queensund arjeses Striyan as those sudden states and towns. How cudde list Darn and Exxrock, witchar tleest norden towns, en leave out Brisben, captl uf Sony Queensund, the state that tones the Great Barer Reef, one of the ten natrul wunnes offer wurl?...
