Oh, Sweet Love
Rita H. Palmer

Issue #22 (June 1983)

Oh sweet love and awful gloom
Shared side by side in this room
Things which only you can know
Of life's passionate ebb and flow.
Sweet hours, long since past
Slow to come, passed so fast.
Sweet memories that are so dear
I'll cherish until again he's here.

Poet Rita H. Palmer is a New Yorker who is into jazz, science fiction and piano playing.

Three Limericks
Neal Wilgus

Issue #22 (June 1983)

All Cracked Up

There once was a grumbling earthquake
that rumbled and ruined my birth cake.
    When I told her to halt she said,
    "T'ain't my fault" -
and thus did a wisecrack some mirth make.

Up, Up and Away

I once put a rock in my pocket -
a pox on that rock, let me knock it.
    I couldn't tell in the night
    'twas a meteorite
and so hot I took off like a rocket.

Three Stooges

I know of Ike, Mustard and Mike;
Huey/Dewey/Louie I like;
     but it's driving me silly -
     there's Ted and there's Willy
but who is that famous third Reich?
