Flagstone steps
yield hedges,
a romantic labyrinth
that girdles
perfumed flower beds,
weeping willow heads, and bracelets armed with gauze of breath
that tempts the air's caress
toward sucking jaws
and hidden smiles of stealth
as she draws her eros,
a jaded handle
from behind her back,
and sinks it
in the tweed-suited gentleman's heart
from beneath her organed belt.
