Seagull Song
Gareth Penn

Issue #58 (September 1986)

The seagull species look a lot
As if they're all named Emma.
Should they be shot with shot, or not?
Oh, what a dire dilemma!

Myself, I'll shoot no seagulls dead,
Nor bloody their snowy blazons;
Instead, I'll feed them bits of bread
And sweet Sultana raisins.

O Man, your kind was never meant
To soar to heights so regal!
If you're named Emma, be content
With looking like a seagull.
