Dear Editor:
What gives? On page 4 of the January Ecphorizer there's a prose piece by Delia DeSantis, "Snow on the Roofs." There is, however, no contributor's note on the author. When someone writes this well, I want to know something about them... Tell her we need to see more from her.

Sorry. We came up to production day for the January issue and discovered that we hadn't gotten a Contributor's Form from her. This has now been remedied. See this month's Contributors page. — Editor

Dear Editor:
Re "Wanted: $4.5 Billion" (December issue). This goes for one of my pet projects — that we should concern ourselves with the causes of war and not the weapons of war...
I have often felt that if we spent 1/2 of the DOD budget on education, we may not need the other half. Such education would include major studies and cures of the cancer of war. I use "cancer" as I believe that war, like cancer, has many causes. But if we can identify and eliminate one cause then we have reduced the suffering accordingly.

Dear Editor:
Re "Is There an Afterlife?" (December issue). Is there an afterlife — a life beyond the grave? Can you count how many before and after? (Ask a bald-headed blue jay).
The statement "No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" may be found in Luke 9:62. Most plowing nowadays is done by tractor. Farms are good and farming can be fun. But don't look back — a bulldozer might be gaining on you.
With regard to interferences and influences, a poem essays this thought:
All things by immortal power
Near or far,
Hiddenly
To each other linked are,
That thou canst not stir a flower
Without troubling of a star.
Francis Thompson wrote that.
